The Vibe is Always Good at Craft House Gastro Pub

Looking for a place where you can enjoy chicken and waffles or an amazingly juicy burger paired with your choice of more than a dozen quality craft beers or a ridiculously decadent Bloody Mary in an atmosphere of good cheer and warmth? Well look no further than Craft House Gastro Pub located on restaurant row along Van Duzer Street, Staten Island.

This gem in the crown of Staten Island’s great restaurants is only a train stop away from the Staten Island ferry and a short walk from Victory Boulevard.

The Craft House was born out of a Food Network challenge that transformed the original restaurant – Against the Grill – into what is now a brew pub/barbecue restaurant combination where guests can dine in the rustic appointed tap room, a comfortable dining room or al fresco on a picnic table in the beer garden (weather permitting).

The Craft House brew menu includes more than a dozen craft beers and ales brewed right next door by Kills Boro Brewing Co. Diners can watch the brews being made while they enjoy their meal. Craft house also offers expertly mixed cocktails such as Old Fashion and martinis which you can enjoy alone or as a compliment to comfort food menu items such as ribs, mac & cheese or melt in your mouth brisket.

The Craft House Gastro Pub pays close attention to detail. Each table is set with a variety of sauces to enhance the flavor of the food they serve. They also provide guests with plenty of napkins (although most choose to lick their fingers so that none of the deliciousness goes to waste).

Food and drink portions are generous and the price point is quite affordable.

Craft House is open 6 days a week (closed on Tuesdays). 5pm to close Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Saturday and Sunday they are open for brunch which is highly recommended. Eat in or take out. The address is 60 Van Duzer Street, Staten island NY 10302(718) 442-3433.
