27 Dec Wendy’s To Open Along Bay Street Corridor Mid 2019
Wendy’s Will Open Along Bay Street Corridor in Mid 2019
I am proud to announce that the Nixon|McGowan Team has successfully negotiated the commercial lease for Wendy’s to locate in the Tompkinsville section of Staten Island.
The restaurant will occupy a 23,000 square foot site located on Bay Street, one of downtown Staten Island’s busiest corridors.
The property is owned by Gary Angiulli, CEO of The Angiuli Group. Mr. Angiuli owns several properties along the Bay Street Corridor including Minethorne, home of Flagship Brewery, Daddy O’s Barbeque and Goal Mine Health Club. The Angiuli group is also constructing a unique, elevated park just opposite of Minethorne.
Wendy’s is expected to open in the second quarter of 2019. It will be the seventh Wendy’s to open on Staten Island.
As the listing agent, I am very excited to welcome this tenant to downtown Staten Island. The sleek, new design of Wendy’s restaurants has a lot of curb appeal and will really light up this part of Bay Street.
When founder Dave Thomas opened the first Wendy’s in 1969, he captured the nation’s attention by using only fresh ingredients in his menu options. Fifty years later, Wendy’s has 6,600 restaurants worldwide serving their signature made-to-order square hamburgers and menu items such as chili and baked potatoes that aren’t found in other fast food chains.
I have spent the majority of my real estate career as a commercial leasing agent specializing in restaurant leases. It is always a source of pride for me when I am able to match a quality food and beverage tenant with a commercial property in a location where it will thrive. Wendy’s fresh menu will be well received by the young professionals living and working in the neighborhoods just outside the Bay Street Corridor.
